Why are illegals shackled and handcuffed during deportation flights?

Passengers destroyed window shades, damaged overhead compartments, tore seat cushions, and attempted to hijack the plane, forcing pilots to lock themselves in the cockpit. This incident was the beginning of attempted hijackings, attacks on ICE agents, and further mutiny after landing in Texas, illustrating why physical restraints are necessary during deportation operations.
