How to Save Video Clips

From the prompt box click the dropdown in the prompt box

You’re ready to search for clips

2. Describe Your Desired Clip

Enter what you’re looking for. Type a description of the moment or content you want. Examples:
  • “Steve Jobs talking about innovation”
  • “Motivational speech about perseverance”
  • “Tech product demo from conference”
  • “Entrepreneur discussing failure”
  • “Leadership advice for startups”
Be specific: The clearer your description, the better the results.

3. Choose Your Source

Library - Previously saved clips you already have Community - Clips from FinalLayer’s community-curated collection YouTube - Search across YouTube’s vast video library Select the source that best fits what you’re looking for.

4. Review and Edit Clips

  • Preview clips
  • Use transcript-based editor to fine-tune
  • Select the perfect section
  • Trim to desired length

5. Save the Clip

  1. Click “Save Clip” button
  2. A save options popup appears
  3. Choose how to organize it

Organizing Clips with Bins

What Are Bins?

Bins are custom folders that help you organize clips by category, theme, or purpose, like folders for files on your computer.

Create a New Bin

Click “Save Clip”

In the popup, select “Create New Bin”

Name your bin (e.g., “Motivation,” “Tech Insights,” “Product Demos”)

Click “Create”

Save Clips to the newly created bins
Bin naming ideas:
  • By topic: “Leadership,” “Marketing,” “Sales”
  • By mood: “Inspirational,” “Educational,” “Humorous”
  • By campaign: “Q4 Launch,” “Thought Leadership,” “Product Updates”
  • By audience: “Founders,” “Enterprise,” “B2B”

Save to Existing Bin

Click “Save Clip”

In the popup, select existing bin from dropdown

Click “Save”

Clip added to that bin
Benefits: Keep similar clips together for easy retrieval.

Accessing Your Saved Clips Library

Go to the side navbar

Click the “Library” icon

Select “Your Clips” tab

Your complete video library appears
