Skip to main contentReference Post Management
Maintain up to 15 active reference posts at any time. Archive posts that aren’t relevant to the specific content type you’re currently creating.
Match your reference posts to your desired output style. If you want to write short, punchy posts, use short posts as references. If you prefer detailed analysis and longer-form content, include those types of examples and turn off other posts that don’t match this style.
Organize your reference posts by content type. For each category you write about;whether it’s product updates, personal experience, or industry analysis;add specific posts as references. This approach significantly improves voice matching accuracy and helps the system understand the tone and style you want for each content pillar.
Advanced Use of Prompt Box
The prompt box is your direct line to customizing each post. Add your specific point of view directly in the prompt box to guide how you want to write that particular post. Be explicit about your specifications;mention if you want the post to be short, long, professional, casual, or any other style preference.
If you’ve found relevant sources or articles, paste the link directly into the prompt box. The live search agent will analyze that source and find related information to incorporate into your post, saving you time on research and ensuring your content is well-informed and current.
Topic Selection
Select no more than 20 topics at a time. Choosing too many topics dilutes the system’s ability to prioritize and may hide the most relevant post ideas for you. When you select fewer, more focused topics, the system can better understand what matters most to you right now.
You can customize topics whenever you want ideas related to specific areas. The system continuously learns from your posting behavior, so your topic choices help it understand your evolving interests and priorities.
Image Generation
For the best image results, start with the suggested prompt that appears alongside your post. This prompt is already contextually relevant to your content. You can adjust it according to your specific requirements or use it as-is.
To maintain brand consistency, add your brand colors, fonts, and other brand elements directly into the prompt. This ensures every generated image aligns with your visual identity. You can also write your own prompt from scratch, but make sure you describe every detail correctly to get better results.
For a particular theme or styling, upload a reference image. This makes it much easier for the system to understand your requirements.
For LinkedIn, it’s recommended to use 1:1, 4:5, or vertical aspect ratios for maximum feed visibility. Select your preferred size and images will be generated accordingly.
Content Mix for LinkedIn
LinkedIn’s feed algorithm prioritizes text-based posts, so post more text-based content than visual-heavy posts for better reach. Balance your promotional content with value-driven posts to maintain audience engagement and avoid coming across as overly sales-focused.
For anyone who wants to maintain a strong personal brand on LinkedIn, posting 5 to 7 times per week is recommended. Your posts should include: one video post per week (video posts are increasingly trending on LinkedIn), two text-only posts weekly (text-based posts can be longer with detailed insights), one to two carousel posts (carousel posts should have minimal text and let the visuals convey most information), and one to two posts with images.
Video Considerations
If you’re posting videos, make sure they include captions. Most video content on LinkedIn is consumed on silent, so captions are essential for viewer comprehension and engagement.
Reference Links
There are no proven facts about whether placing source links directly in posts affects reach. However, we recommend placing reference links in the comment section instead. By default, you’ll get an added reference link in the FinalLayer post itself. You can copy this and use it in the comment section to maintain a cleaner post body while still providing sources.
Scheduling Strategy
The system allows you to schedule as many posts as you want, with a maximum of 20 posts per day. However, this isn’t recommended. Over-scheduling means you might miss out on trending topics and current discussions happening in real-time on the LinkedIn feed. We suggest being active on LinkedIn day by day and being part of the conversation every day rather than batch-scheduling everything in advance.
Saving Ideas
It’s always a best practice to save ideas that appear on your current FinalLayer feed, especially if you want to make a post about them later. This ensures you never lose any idea that could become valuable content. The Save Ideas feature is the only way to retrieve previous suggestions, so use it liberally.
